At Springs Dental Care, we’re here to make your family's life simpler, and that’s why our team focuses most of its efforts on family and preventive dentistry. With the services outlined below, we’re able to stop many dental problems in their tracks! They are perfect for patients of all ages, and they’ll make sure the next time you or a loved one want to speak, laugh, or smile, teeth will be the absolute last thing on anyone’s mind! Is it time for your next dental checkup? If it’s been more than six months since you or your child’s last one, give us a call today!
When it comes to taking care of your oral health and appearance long term, nothing does it better than your standard dental checkup and teeth cleaning. These services enable us to learn all we can about your dental needs so we can figure out the best ways to take care of them! Dr. Cea recommends that everyone should have at least two each year.
With a dental cleaning, one of our excellent hygienists will use sophisticated tools to remove any plaque and tartar that has built up on your teeth, particularly targeting those areas that your brush and floss can’t reach at home. This will eliminate the root cause of most dental issues, plus they’ll give you a nice polish at the end to make your teeth porcelain smooth.
Then, Dr. Cea will perform an oral exam where he’ll look at your teeth, gums, jaw, and dental work so he can catch the early signs of any problems. Should they find anything, they’ll quickly be able to treat it to keep your smile protected.
Little smiles need their own special kind of care, which we’re more than happy to provide here at Springs Dental Care. Here, your child will experience just the right combination of dental treatments, patience, and a gentle touch to ensure that their smile stays strong and healthy as they grow. Many of our team members are parents themselves, so we’ll know exactly how to keep your child comfortable every time they come to see us.
Dental sealants allow us to protect the most vulnerable teeth—the molars and premolars. These teeth have very rough chewing surfaces that can easily trap food particles and plaque that can lead to cavities, plus they are particularly hard to clean while brushing (especially for young children). With a dental sealant, we’ll apply a clear, thin layer of a plastic-based substance to these teeth to create an invisible barrier that food particles, plaque, and bacteria cannot cross.
Bruxism is a condition where a person unconsciously clenches their jaw and grinds their teeth while they sleep, and as many as 1 in 3 people suffer from it! If you ever wake up with a sore jaw, or if your teeth look like they’ve been worn down, then we may recommend that you wear a nightguard to bed. This is a small, protective mouthpiece that will place a barrier between your teeth that will keep them safe while you rest easy.
In this day and age, sports mouthguards are just as important as helmets when it comes to athlete safety. Rather than trusting you or your child’s smile to some generic mouthguard you bought at the store, we can provide you with your own custom-designed one. It will be shaped to comfortably fit over your teeth, and it will also be much thicker and stronger in order to keep your smile well-protected. Basically, it will give you one less thing to worry about so you can concentrate on the game!
Oral cancer is estimated to take at least one life each and every hour, which is tragic because it is a very treatable disease when detected early. This is why our team recommends that every adult should have at least one oral cancer screening per year, which our dentists can perform as part of your regular checkups. They’ll examine your lips, gums, tongue, cheeks, throat, neck, and face for any signs of cancerous tissues, and should they find anything, they can help you quickly get the appropriate follow-up treatment.
You’ll likely find fluoride in most toothpastes as well as public water sources, and that’s because it offers a safe and natural way to strengthen the teeth against both decay and cavities. So, of course, you’ll find it in our office as well! We’re happy to provide patients of all ages a topical fluoride treatment as part of their regular checkups to give their smiles a little bit of extra protection. It only takes a few minutes, is completely painless, and it’s one of the best ways to keep everybody cavity-free!
